Launching Event of Yayasan Kepustakaan Maharsi Markendeya Marks a New Chapter in Preserving Sacred Knowledge and Strengthening India–Indonesia Cultural Ties
Bali, Indonesia
A historic event was held in Bali to mark the official launch of Yayasan Kepustakaan Maharsi Markendeya, a foundation dedicated to the preservation of sacred knowledge and cultural integration between India and Indonesia.
Rooted in the spiritual legacy of Maharshi Markandeya—the Vedic sage who introduced Hindu Dharma to Bali—the foundation aims to revive ancient traditions and make them accessible to modern society through education, literature, and intercultural programs.
The launching ceremony gathered respected scholars, spiritual leaders, cultural ambassadors, educators, and community members from both Indonesia and India. The event featured traditional rituals, keynote speeches, cultural performances, and the unveiling of the foundation’s programs for 2025.
Preserving Eternal Knowledge for Universal Harmony
Guided by the values of “Jnana • Dharma • Karuna” (Wisdom, Righteousness, Compassion), the foundation will focus on:
